What’s the Perfect Place? How to Know If a Venue Is a Fit for LongFi Connect
April 16, 2025
Thanks for your interest in the LongFi Partners Program. If you’re already thinking about who in your network might be a good fit, you’re on the right track. But before you send in that first referral, you might be wondering: what exactly makes a location a “perfect place” for LongFi Connect?
That’s a great question—because not every site is ideal, but when the conditions are right, the impact is powerful.
A Quick Refresher on What We Do
At LongFi Solutions, we improve indoor cellphone coverage through a service called LongFi Connect. We either tap into a venue’s existing Wi-Fi network or, if needed, install one ourselves at no cost to the venue. There’s no disruption to operations, and once installed, our solution enhances coverage, unlocks a new revenue stream, and improves the digital experience for everyone in the space—tenants, customers, employees, and visitors.
What Problems Are We Solving?
Indoor connectivity has become a silent pain point for commercial spaces. Buildings with thick concrete walls, metal facades, or tinted glass often block cellular signals. Venues with high traffic or long dwell times—like food courts, gyms, and office lobbies—experience customer frustration, dropped calls, and sluggish data connections. These aren’t just tech issues; they’re business problems that can affect satisfaction, reviews, dwell time, and even revenue.
That’s where LongFi Connect comes in.
Meet Marcus – A Restaurant POS Vendor in Texas
Marcus travels a lot. He helps independent restaurant owners set up point-of-sale systems and digital menus. He doesn’t own any restaurants himself, but he’s constantly talking to people who do. When he heard about LongFi Connect, he immediately thought of five clients who’d complained about poor indoor coverage. So far, two have gone live—and Marcus has earned $1,000 with more on the way.
What Makes a Venue Ideal for LongFi?
We’re looking for places where connectivity matters—and where people notice when it doesn’t work. The best venues tend to share one or more of these characteristics:
- High foot traffic
- People stay for a while (aka high dwell time)
- Customer service matters (reviews, experience, retention)
- The owner is looking for smart, zero-cost upgrades
We work well with venues that already have Wi-Fi infrastructure—but if they don’t, we’ll deploy it ourselves, entirely free to the property.
What Could the Perfect Place Look Like?
Here are a few examples of the types of venues that could be a perfect fit for LongFi Connect—and what might make them ideal candidates. These aren’t case studies—they’re the kinds of real-world spaces we’re looking for and could support with our zero-cost solution.
Example 1: A Boutique Retail Courtyard with Patchy Signal
Imagine a retail courtyard with half a dozen shops surrounding a common area. Customers often spend time browsing or waiting for coffee orders—but they complain about dropped calls or slow data. If this venue already has Wi-Fi, we could likely leverage it to improve indoor coverage. And if it doesn’t, we’d be able to deploy our own at no cost. This kind of setup could be a prime candidate for LongFi Connect.
Example 2: A Busy Gym Where Music Streaming Cuts Out
Picture a large neighborhood gym where members spend 45–90 minutes inside, often using music apps, fitness trackers, or messaging. If the signal drops in locker rooms or weight areas, it could create unnecessary frustration. With just a basic internet connection, we could install LongFi Connect to help users stay online—and help the owner unlock a new revenue stream with no upfront costs.
Example 3: An Office Lobby with Tenant Complaints
Think of a downtown office building where tenants frequently mention weak signal in common areas—especially the lobby. Property management might not want to invest in complex DAS systems or Wi-Fi upgrades. That’s where LongFi Connect could be a game-changer, plugging into the existing setup and delivering better indoor coverage without any operational interruptions.
Example 4: A Regional Restaurant Chain with Dozens of Locations
Consider a fast-growing restaurant group with 10–15 locations across a metro area. Customers spend time waiting for food, checking in online, or posting to social media—yet coverage is inconsistent across locations. This is the kind of opportunity where a strategic partner could refer all locations at once. We’d roll out LongFi Connect site by site, bringing each one live and paying referral bonuses as we go.
Still Not Sure If a Venue Qualifies? Here’s What to Look For:
- People spend more than 10–15 minutes inside
- Spotty signal could affect experience or satisfaction
- The owner is open to smart upgrades with zero cost
- The venue has Wi-Fi—or would benefit from getting it
If that sounds like the venue you have in mind, it’s probably worth submitting. Even if it’s a maybe, we’ll take a look and let you know.
Your Next Step
The perfect place might already be in your network—a restaurant you visit, a gym your friend manages, a client in your portfolio. You don’t need to own it. You just need to make the introduction.
